Narwd was a mechanic in Islamabad but had built himself a decent existence as a clothing store owner in London. Then, after 3 years he went home to Pakistan for a visit and could not return. Now his wife and family manages the store. He shows me photos of a large men’s wear store. When his wife visited from London, she got pregnant and returned to give birth in a safe place. He still could not get back to Britain and decided to fly to Istanbul, eventually winding up on Lesbos. There he spent 3000 Euros on a private lawyer but was rejected twice. He spent the last winter in Moria and shows me pictures of snow-covered tents. In July 2017 his son was 9 months and all he could do was skype.
