USA denies asylum to Coptic Christian and terror victim.

His wife was murdered, and the children are not safe.

A man, sitting alone comes to show me a photo of him and the Greek flag. He was so happy to be in safety in Greece. Achmed Sebit is a Coptic Christian from Cairo. He arrived in Moria on June 5.

He was an international chef, doing well, working at the Sheraton among other prestigious hotels. His wife was killed in a church attack 2013. Then terrorists from the Muslim Brotherhood tried to kill him as well. The US embassy denied him to apply for asylum.

“Now tell me about human rights!”

So he decided to leave as quickly as possible and took a plane to Istanbul, then a bus to Basmani – via Izmir. He paid $500 for the boat crossing and succeeded on first try.

But he had to leave his 4 children behind: two adult, independent boys are 22 and 20. But a 14-year-old boy and 1-year old girl live with his father. The children are not safe, and Achmed is anxious to bring them to Europe as soon as possible. He is thankful to be in Greece and shoes me a photo posing with the Greek flag. His interview will be in a few days, just after I leave. Yes, I can just leave...
